People who received at least one dose of the Covid vaccine may live longer than those who didn't get the shot, a major study suggests.
In a new study of more than 28million adults, researchers compared adults who had received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine to those who were unvaccinated.
The research, thought to be the largest of its kind, found that adults who received at least one dose of either the Pfizer or Moderna Covid vaccines were 25 percent less likely to die of any cause compared to those who were unvaccinated over the following four years.
Additionally, vaccinated individuals had nearly a 75 percent lower risk of dying in the hospital from Covid.
The risk of dying from Covid was also up to five times higher in unvaccinated individuals than those who had gotten at least one dose of the shot.
