Despite rave reviews from the professional commentariat, Disney’s latest documentary on Anthony Fauci, the patron saint of the pandemic, has proven an utter failure with the public. Over at Rotten Tomatoes, the movie rating aggregator, more than 9 out of 10 critics give the nearly two-hour film a "fresh" (positive) rating. In contrast, just 1 in 20 plebeians known as the “audience” have given the film a thumbs-up.
It’s not just that hagiographies of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director have saturated the market, although that market is saturated. Devotees of the good doctor can already pick up copies of InStyle or the Guardian to salivate over Fauci the First.
