Ward to Senators McCain and Flake: Confirm Senator Sessions for AG
Republican US Senate candidate Kelli Ward today praised President-elect Trump’s selection of Senator Jeff Sessions as Attorney General and urged Arizona’s two US Senators to back his confirmation.
“Senator Sessions has been a bold and strong advocate for the conservative agenda that elected Donald Trump. He will reverse the dangerous leftist Justice Department agenda put in place by Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch. I urge both Senator McCain and Senator Flake to support his confirmation to this critical post,” Ward said.
“Under Holder and Lynch the Justice Department has become an arm of the Democratic National Committee and has been obsessed with terrorizing small businesses, local governments and individual citizens into conforming to the radical Obama Administration Agenda,” Ward added.
Dr. Ward held Senator John McCain to just 51 percent of the vote in the 2016 Republican Primary and is a candidate against Jeff Flake in the 2018 election. She represented Northwest Arizona in the State Senate for 2 terms prior to her race against McCain.
