PAGE, AZ (AZFamily) — A northern Arizona man who was staying in the country on an expired visa has been arrested for multiple child sex crimes, according to the Page Police Department.
On Tuesday, police arrested the suspect, who has not been named, and took him into custody along with several pieces of evidence.
Page police say the arrest stemmed from work with other law enforcement agencies on an investigation into crimes against children.
Throughout the investigation, a primary suspect was identified as a man from Mexico who had overstayed his visa and had been living in a mobile home park in the city.
“These types of crimes are difficult for any investigator. Anytime children are involved and especially when they are victims, it can be emotionally draining. Today, a dangerous predator who allegedly committed horrific crimes was arrested because multiple members of our staff worked diligently until we had enough probable cause to make an arrest,” said Page Police Chief Tim Lange.
