On this Veterans Day, we are reminded that we need to fix the disastrous VA Health system.
With veterans continuing to die while waiting in line, we need to urge President-Elect Trump and our congress that our amazing veterans should not be waiting in line to get care, but rather, should be able to seek care anywhere, at any time.
I've been supporting veterans and our military for my entire life.
As a child, my grandmother would take us to our local Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) post for every holiday, parade, and event. As an adult, I've been a supportive military wife and have worried and waited for my husband to return from Iraq where he was being rocketed on a daily basis. My husband continues to serve in the Arizona Air National Guard and has served our country in uniform for over 32 years. That’s why I’m a life member of the VFW (Ladies) Auxiliary.
Since Mike and I moved to Arizona in 1999, and throughout my time as a state legislator, I’ve been a steadfast supporter of the Arizona National Guard and all members of the military in Arizona.
As a doctor, I've made a difference in people's lives via medicine and compassion — I care for veterans and have done so for over 20 years.
It’s as important as ever that we honor our veterans by fixing the disastrous VA and ensure that they receive the best healthcare this country has to offer — without red tape and bureaucracy.
