“The best option is for Congress to do what they promised before the election - repeal ObamaCare now, which will force Democrats to either back a Republican plan or have no plan at all,” Ward, a longtime ObamaCare opponent, said, noting that President Trump is now suggesting the “Ward Plan” as the best path for the GOP.
“But if the Senate insists on passing a law, then that law must end the outrageous Medicaid expansion that’s exploded in size, thanks to the open-ended entitlement that the middle class, not eligible for the expansion, must subsidize,” Ward said.
“Four years ago, I led the fight in the Arizona Senate against this taxpayer-funded catastrophe and sadly, everything I warned about turned out to be true,” Ward said. “Mr. Flake campaigned and raised money on full repeal for years, now he is providing sanctuary to ObamaCare. He’s simply too weak to lead. He claims to be a conservative, but if he was, he’d not only be leading the fight against this welfare giveaway, but lobbying Senator Heller to do the right thing and end ObamaCare now.”
“As a Senator, I’ll be a champion for Arizona taxpayers and working families who fund all these progressive, liberal programs.
