On behalf of Michael and Kelli Ward, I want to let everyone know that today is a very sad day. The Arizona Attorney General has criminalized exercising our 1st Amendment rights. Many people are familiar with freedom of speech, but the 1st Amendment also includes Freedom of Religion, Freedom of Assembly, and most importantly the Right to Petition our Government.
Among the rights to petition is the right to have discussions with friends, attorneys, and elected officials to ensure that our election process is functioning properly. In Arizona, under A.R.S. 16-121, every qualified voter is an elector. Electors have a special privilege that includes the ability to file lawsuits against government officials in the search for truth.
Under this Attorney General's rule, filing lawsuits and asking questions can now lead to criminal charges - but only if you are a political opponents of the Attorney General in an election year. Please don't lose hope. We have two willing fighters in Michael and Kelli and they will not back down from the most powerful attorney in Arizona. This fight is going to be expensive so please consider donating a few dollars and join this fight with Michael and Kelli.
