One investigation will focus on what caused the COVID-19 virus breakout and how the U.S. government handled it. A focus will be on Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation’s virus czar who has sometimes given conflicting advice and warred with former Trump administration officials. “Fauci will have his own parking space at the Capitol,” said one top Republican member.
Also look for investigations into the FBI’s handling of the 2017 shooting of Republican lawmakers practicing for the annual baseball game and President Joe Biden’s opening of the U.S.-Mexico border.
