Tempe, AZ – Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-California) today announced his endorsement of Dr. Kelli Ward in the Arizona 2018 GOP primary for U.S. Senate.
“I am proud to endorse Dr. Kelli Ward,” said Rohrabacher. “An advocate for limited government, repealing Obamacare, and securing our borders, Dr. Ward will be a champion of security for the people of the United States and will help free American citizens from the bureaucracy and oppressive government that drags us down. I’m excited to support her campaign for U.S. Senate.”
Prior to being elected to Congress, Rep. Rohrabacher served as a speechwriter and Special Assistant to President Ronald Reagan from 1981 to 1988. In 2016, Rohrabacher was re-elected to his 15th congressional term, representing the 48th District of California. A member of the conservative House Freedom Caucus, he currently serves as Chairman of the Europe, Eurasia, and Emerging Threats Subcommittee of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs and is Vice Chairman on the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology.
“I want to express my sincere thanks to Rep. Rohrabacher for his endorsement,” said Ward. “Rep. Rohrabacher has been on the front lines of the fight for America First immigration reform and strengthening our borders. As one of the most experienced conservative leaders on complex foreign policy issues in Congress, he understands that our national security begins, first and foremost, with border security. I am honored to have his support, and look forward to helping advance these and other critically important issues in Washington.”
Dr. Kelli Ward is a leading GOP candidate to replace retiring Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake in the U.S. Senate in 2018. On Aug. 17, President Trump encouraged Ward’s campaign via Twitter. Ward has received endorsements from several national conservative leaders including U.S. Sen. Rand Paul, Laura Ingraham, Sean Hannity, and Mark Levin. Ward’s campaign has an unmatched grassroots network across Arizona and has continued to grow and expand national and in-state support.
